Policy Background
We wish to ensure all partners and supporters clearly understand that BFO has a set of policies and procedures to support and protect the vulnerable communities that we work with, as well as all employees, NGO partners, volunteers and donors.
To achieve the above protection and support, BFO offers initial and continual training around our policies and procedures. We strive to educate our staff and NGO partners about any potential risks to our communities, assisting them to develop the skills and knowledge needed to identify and report in the correct manner.
As well as our extensive training and education around our policies, BFO discusses in confidentiality any incidents that arise with its In-country Advisory Board. The purpose of this board is to ensure that each decision made comes from a variety of perspectives, that being culture, religion and Government departments.
To further combat and aide our workers on the ground as well as the broader communities in which we work, we offer information around anti-corruption and child protection.
